Seriously thinking about ordering a Vision Pro but its entertainment capabilities have zero interest to me. I don’t watch sports and only watch TV/movies with my partner. I game but only console games and knowing Apple’s policy on Xbox Cloud Gaming, it will never be possible on Vision Pro.

So that leaves the use case for productivity. I work in data science and heavily rely on MacOS. I know I can connect to a Mac through VNC with Vision Pro but that means I would have to carry my Mac with me which kind of defeats the purpose. I could buy a new decked out 14” MacBook Pro for less than the Vision Pro. Is there an app I could use to remotely connect to my Mac at home and what kind of lag would it have? Otherwise this just feels like a virtual iPad to me and I already tried to bring an iPad to my work flow which ended up being very frustrating and had to resort to my Mac quite often.

Any of you have productivity use cases for Vision Pro that I may have not thought of? Want to give the technology a try but if there’s no meaningful productivity applications for me, find it hard to justify dropping $3,500 + tax on it.
