So I made my Industrial Design program at my school this year.... 36 selected out of 165. :)

I want to start collecting my portfolio and putting something together on the web... My biggest obstacle obviously at this point is creating a professional looking website together without hiring a web designer. Any suggestions? :p

Wix.com

I know nothing about website design or building webstes, at all, beyond using common sense.

I made this: www.benkadams.com

The only downside I'll say to wix, is the whole feel of their site feels old, which is ironic given how much they're touting the use of HTML5, I'm sure there are alternatives out there, but wix was simple and fast, which is exactly what I wanted.

That site looks great! I'll take note of wix.com, thanks.

I've heard good things about SquareSpace, but I don't have any personal experience with it. It sponsors several TWiT podcasts where you can grab a 10%-20% discount if you decide it might fit your needs.

How Did This Get Made and/or Comedy Bang Bang usually have good offer codes too, but square space is more for building blogs than a traditional website, so we weary of that.

I'll try it! Thanks!
