I got my macbook pro last august and I am still no closer to a solution for this.
is it possible to change the default program that certain files open with? all of my video files open automatically in Quicktime, which isnt really a bad thing but I would prefer it if they would automatically open in VLC, rather than me right clicking and choosing open with VLC every time I want to use it.
I have this problem with a few filetypes and would really appreciate any help on how to change the program associations.
