I use VLC to play my videos but I can't find a way to get specs like Resolution/Video Codec/Audio Codec and things like that..does any1 know how to get that info on a mac?

Start the video in VLC.

Press [Apple]+[ i ] or choose the Window > Information menu selection.

Alternatively:

Launch the video in the QuickTime Player.

Press [Apple]+[ i ] and [Apple]+[ j ] or choose the Window > Show Movie Inspector and Window > Show Movie Properties menu selections.
