hey guys,

i installed some the hp software bundle that came with a printer i needed to use. now every time my computer starts up the "hp setup assistant" starts up too. for some reason when i go through the steps to "configure my HP device" it can never find the printer. i just want to stop this program from starting b/c its getting really annoying. btw, it doesn't show up in my login items under account preferences. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

dont know if this would work, what about activity monitor?

Have you tried going to System Preferences > Accounts > Startup Items? If it is there, remove it (use the - button). That will stop it.

yeah, i've tried that too, but it doesn't show up. it seems like the only way to make it stop is to configure my printer, but for some reason it never shows up when it's connected, but i can still print with it...

Have you tried just uninstalling it and starting from the beginning again? Might be worth a shot.
