program to what the desktop is showing

so im looking for a program that will run in the background and record everything that im doing on my desktop. a PC software would be preferred because im using autocad so ill be booted in windows. I want to record me drawing an autocad design that im using for my senior design project and then us it in a movie about the progress that my team has made.
