Program transfer between hard drives on macbook

Hello everyone i recently got a mac from a college that came with Adobe CS5, iLIFE, iWork, Office 08, but it has snow leopard.... is there away to just copy all the files into another internal hard drive and than use it??? also is it possible to get all the keys from those programs.... and then install them on lion????? thanks so much.

Use CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper to make a 1:1 copy.
If you upgrade the clone to Lion, the applications will not be removed and still be able to work, provided they are compatible with Lion.

Btw, to what other Mac do you want to clone this to?

your so helpful this is just what i needed. i wanted to just clone this too a new hard drive.... the macbook hard drives are smaller than my ideal
