Is it really that difficult of a task going into your Photo.app and selecting an image to set as a wallpaper.

It wasn't that hard to use a rotary phone either, I'm glad someone innovated some improvements upon it though.

Undocumented API would work

You can use the undocumented API call to set the wallpaper, but I don't know if the app would get approval from the App Store.

Undocumented == private

using that is a guaranteed rejection.
