Programming for iPhone?

To the mods... I have no idea which forum to post this in!

Anyone here program apps for the iPhone? If so, what language is it in and are there visual tools for help or all code?

I have some background in C++ and have some concepts for programs.

Is learning to program for the iPhone a daunting task?
