I just got an AmazonBasics wireless keyboard to use with my Mac Pro. The keyboard is designed specifically for the iPad, but I like it so much I bought this second one to use with my Mac Pro.

The F1-F8 keys have specific functions already assigned to them (i.e. iTunes controls, volume, etc.). The assigned functions are the default and they cannot be used as regular function keys unless you hold FN. I was pleased to discover the iTunes and volume controls work in OSX just as they do on the Apple Keyboard.

However, the functions assigned to F1 & F2 (Home and Search on the iPad, respectively) don't do anything under OSX. Like I said, these two keys will not function as regular function keys unless I hold FN. I'd like to be able to program them to speed up my workflow.

Is this possible/any ideas suggestions? I'd be open to some third-party software if that's the only option. Thanks.
