Programs not opening

So I'm have troubles! Every time I open up certain programs they won't open. I click on the icon, the program begins to load, the beginning logo/name of the program box comes up and then it disappears and doesn't open! Any idea what could cause this? I've already tried to reinstall the programs and it still does the same thing!

No Intel here. Old school G4. The thing is it opened fine before. Then one day this happens! I can't remember what the other programs were. The main program I'm trying to open is something called Virtual Drummer. It's a drum programming program. I can't find a new version of it on the web anywhere now. I saved it to disk back in the day and have had no lucking w/ reloading it. The same thing ends up happening. I got this version 5-6 yrs ago, it was freeware...
