Hi

I recently installed a Samsung 840 Evo SSD and upgraded the RAM to 8GB in my mid-2010 MacBook Pro. I cloned the hard drive using CCC and installed Trim Enabler from Cindori. I am running Lion 10.7.5.

My issue is that often programs are taking a long time to launch. If I click Launchpad and then Google Chrome, if often takes several minutes to load. I also have this problem with Finder. In writing this, I clicked on "About This Mac" from the Apple menu and it took over 2 minutes to load. Programs from the dock (iTunes, Firefox, Mail), I seem to have no issue with.

Is this a known issue after a SSD install? I have tried searching and Goggling, but have not found anything. What is going on here?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
