I've started having weird problems with my Mac. All of sudden some programs (e.g., Path Finder, Quicksilver, Skype, etc.) refuse to launch. I've repaired permission, deleted preferences files (and emptied the Trash afterwards), zapped PRAM -- none of this solves the problem! The only workaround seems to be to reinstall the program.
Has anybody seen this kind of behavior before? I'm afraid that app launching problems are just a manifestation of something more serious going on with my Mac. BTW, I called Apple Care about this and they refused to help on the grounds that they don't support third party apps. I think that several unrelated programs suddenly failing to work is clearly an indication of a problem with the OS!
