Progress bars when syncing iOS device.

Is it possible to see progress bars when syncing, backing-up, or downloading updates on the Mac? All I see is the spinning wheel.

Spinning wheels is all you get nowadays... as ***** as that is... For every step forward in macOS, Apple seems to enjoy taking two steps back... Go figure?
