Hey folks,

on older macOS Spotlight always showed the progress of indexing or re-indexing by clicking it's symbol in the menu-bar, but on High Sierra it's not the case.

Is there any option how to see the progress of indexing, maybe even showing the time left for it?

I know it's running, when "mdworker" processes are taking their CPU time and "mds_stores" is taking its ram, but I would like a more precise option.

Thank you :)

It's not showing a progress bar if you type any letter in the search field?

No, it didn't. However, Spotlight was working, but there was definitely an indexing going on in the background for about 1h-1.5h according to the processes.

I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6
