Updating to 15.1, log:

1. download, prepare and reboot
2. reboot, nothing happens
3. power off and reboot
4. screens are blinking, then go off
5. mac powers off by itself
6. power on, password recovery comes up after a while
7. choose startup disk in the menu, unlock drive (Filevault)
8. reboot
9. screens are blinking like a cristmas tree, going on and off
10. update process begins, on second screen
11. reboot, update continues, screen is changing resolution
12. reboot, rinse and repeat
13. update finalizes with correct 4K resolution

To me this smells more and more like Windows, with repeated reboots and stuck processes. What is the point of switching resolution and blinking screens?

What it should be:

1. download, prepare, copy files to where they belong and reboot
2. run post install scripts and don't mess with the resolution
3. done!
