Hello,
It's been 3 times now where I've received a prohibitory sign at startup. The first time I reformatted and restored from a time machine backup. The second and third time (two consecutive days) I just did a snow leopard install (which kept the files and folders intact) which works until I restart the computer, where I will receive another prohibitory sign. This generally seems to occur after specific updates. I'm running a 15 in Macbook Pro Intel Core Duo with 10.6. I've researched this article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1892 but it did not seem to have quite the solution to the problem. Any help with this would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Michael
