Hi Guys,
I have been following this forum for quite a while but this is my first post and I thank you in advance for the replies.

I am in the process of buying a new powerbook (my first one :D ) and I am looking for a substitute of Microsoft Project 2004.
Eventually I will ever need a PC for my job but I want to try to switch completely for my personal stuff.

I am looking for a professional and comple suite but I don't know any.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Antonio

Microsoft Office 2004 has the Project Center built in to Entourage(Outlook). You can see it here: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/office2004/highlights.aspx

Otherwise you can use programs like these for real CRM:

Daylite http://www.marketcircle.com/daylite/

iBiz http://www.iggsoftware.com/ibiz/index.html

Now Up To Date & Contact http://www.nowsoftware.com/

Then there are some others, but I showed you the best IMO.

Hope that helped!!!

Thanks a lot.

Daylite seems quite interesting.
The others are maybe for personal use but I will look at them as well.

Bye

I suggest you you download and try out Merlin, the project management software from Project Wizards. You can check it out here:

I'd recommend Merlin for a MS Project replacement, or OpenProj as a Server replacement. You can also try Basecamp which a lot of people seem to like or Zoho's Project Management app (free I think).

Of course, there's my software for Project Reporting (plug, plug): http://www.live-status.com

MacAficionado mentioned real crm, so here's my recommendation ---web crm www.worketc.com. It is a crm, project management, collab tool and billing software in one. It has a 14 day free trial, no obligation, and which you may want to try to experience it yourself.

The solution I use everyday in my business is an online CRM platform which is called TioLive. I like how it works and I also like it because I've never have problems with it. Maybe you should make a registration (it's free) and try to see.

Hi there,

What's up since last week? Antonio did you test some of the solutions we recommended? What did you like or dislike? I would be happy to have some feedback on TioLive :)

Project Management Software Alternatives to MS Project

Hi. If you want to pay for it, I think Merlin is a good choice for project managers using Macs. If you work with other people, Basecamp is quite popular.

My personal choice though is 2-plan. I get the best of Merlin and Basecamp with it for free. I can also use it with my iPhone. ;)
