After setting up my new phone, I was prompted to login to Apple accounts which I haven't used in years. There's no apps on my phone that are pending updates (I manually go into the App Store and refresh and update my apps every few days). I don't get prompted to login to these Apple IDs any other time. It just happens whenever I transfer and setup a new phone.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can track down/remove references to these old Apple IDs?

Could be old apps, with no updates, that you originally installed with another ID.

You could just cancel all those login prompts (apart from your main Apple ID of course) and see what the impact is. I assume there'll be some long-forgotten apps that are greyed-out and waiting to install. If so, check if they're available in the App Store of your main ID and if yes, delete them from your phone and re-download them.

So that’s the thing. I don’t have any apps that are missing because I cancelled the prompts last year when I got my 13 Pro. So none of those apps were on the phone I migrated from when I upgraded to my 14 pro.

That happens to me for music I had that were bought with other iTunes accounts. If I don’t have the password, I skip it. The downside is that the music file is then inaccessible.

This started happening three years ago, IIRC.

Agreed and it does. I was just wondering if there was a way to get rid of it entirely so it doesn't occur in the future.
