I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but if you get the Mac system voice to speak "OS X", it says "ten" rather than "X".

I'm one of those annoying people who can't break the habit of saying it as a letter, but I thought it was quite cool that they made the effort to program the 'right' way into the system voice.

You can edit your own custom pronunciations in the VoiceOver utility
