First, we asked them to get rid of the skinny text. They listened.
Then, we asked them to get rid of the lock screen chevrons. And look!
We do have a voice. MR iOS 7 forum ftw!

You're joking...right?

WE did all that, you say?

Not possible that, just perhaps, their own design team might have just possibly thought of some of the changes.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc!

These were two of the most common complaints on the Internet, aside from the icons.

Well then in that case... I hate you all for ruining the look of iOS 7 by getting rid of the thin font. The bold one does not look nearly as nice as the thin font did.

Nope. Here is a definition to help you
proof |pro͞of|
noun
1 evidence or argument establishing or helping to establish a fact or the truth of a statement

Sometimes we must sacrifice niceness for readabiliy

I think they certainly most read this forum, as well as plenty of other ones in the Internet, to understand what is the public's perception of the new OS and other betas. Surely many of the changes they have done in the OS is a result of that. These were very common complaints that not only were found in MR, but also in almost every site discussing the beta in the Internet.

It was perfectly readable. In fact, the thickness of the new font is actually distracting, like in the messages app. It's like everything is written in bold font.

Surely? How do we know they weren't done because of many other possible reasons that don't have anything to do with random online forums/sites?

For you and me, but not for everyone. It must also work for our grandmothers as well.

More font options would solve this, though.

Yeah, they should've just left it thin, with the option for bold font. Now we just have bold, with an option for bolder. It's dumb.

Not sure if this is a serious post but those issues weren't just being mentioned on MacRumors sorry to say.

Pretty sure Bug reports were done and based on the number of well thought out reasons for a bug, resulted in any changes.

They don't even listen to official bug requests in the dev portal. There are piles if requests back from beta 1 to make the ios7 calendar useable again and they have been marked as duplicate cases...

Quick, run and tell Business Insider so they can make a click bait story about it.

Options man... Options.

I don't mean this directed towards you, but why do many on this board feel that everything is black and white?

How about something like:

General >Accessibility > Fonts > Helvetica Light
