What’s the best way to charge this phone to optimize longevity? Sorry if already posted. Thanks

I try to keep my phone between 30 and 80-85% charge. I don't really have any proof of this preserving battery life but that's just how I do it. I work office so it's not really an issue for me, I always find myself being able to charge it at those level without hassles.

Try not to let your battery fully discharge on a regular basis. That puts extra wear on the battery. Do not subject it to excess heat on a regular basis.

I really don't worry about my iPhone battery life too much. If I still have the phone in 2 or 3 years and capacity is in the 80s, I will get Apple to replace the battery.

This is what Apple suggests:

Everything else is speculation.

This is really the essence. Other than that, absolute full charges and absolute depletion are often mentioned as the enemy of most batteries. In fairness, I have stopped overthinking it. My 8+ is in its fourth year of ownership, two years charging wirelessly, the rest was a random mix with plenty of fast charging too - battery max capacity is still 87%.

I feel like keeping it between 20-80% and never letting it fully deplete is enough. Anything more than this and it becomes obsessive. Personally I don't follow any rules and I never have extreme battery depletion.

I tried to not let my iPhone7 battery ever get below 50 % worse case scenario and try and charge it overnight from roughly the same time and after two years its at 92% battery health(and I know that some people say that number shouldn't be taken as gospel) which I think is pretty good. It’s now turned off as I’ve gotten a new phone which I hope to do something very similar with.
