We have the Ikon BusinessPro 550C machine at work to handle small jobs in-house. I design using photoshop most of the time and sometimes in InDesign as well. However there's a lot of options that come with this machine and I'd like to know what color setting/profile do I need to use in my Adobe applications when I print?
We also have the Xerox DocuColor 242 as well. I have been using the standard north american prepress 2 cmyk color profile called 'US Web Coated (Swop) v2' forever.
Sometimes we send our work out to a 3rd party Offset printing press, and sometimes we print them in-house on our office color printers. So I'd like to know once and for all what setting is optimal to yield high quality results. Especially the machines I just listed.
EDIT: I just went to Xerox's website and found ICC color profiles for the DocuColor242. So I'm assuming before I print form Photoshop, I convert to CMYK using those profiles? I'm not sure which one to use, there's a bunch and it came with no instructions.
