Hi,

I'm trying to install BootCamp on my 13" MacBook Pro 2011 on a partition that previously was on an older MacBook. It didn't seem to work to install from disc, but it worked after copying to the hard drive. The display drivers didn't seem to install correctly, though; max resolution is 1024x986.

Any suggestions on correctly getting it installed? Everything seems to work fine but the display.

Thanks.

You don't explicitly say which version of Windows. Apple, and thus Boot Camp, does not support XP on most 2011 Macs.

What did you copy to the HDD to get it to work? How do you mean "didn't seem to work" was there an error message?

If you are running Vista or 7, please tell us exactly which version and on which Mac(s) you are running it.

Thanks or the response; I'm running Windows 7 Pro on a 2011 MacBook Pro 13". I just swapped the hard drive straight out of the old MacBook5,1. When I am trying to install BootCamp from the CD, it just hangs on the first install (Nvidia). Running from the HD, it installs fine and everything seems to work okay except for the display. There is only one new resolution above 800x600 (1024x986), which isn't even the correct aspect ratio.
