Properly uninstall Geektool?

Hey everybody,

I somehow messed with the Groups drop down menu. First all my entries disappeared. And now I can't even create new entries or groups. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall geektool but it remembers the settings from previous installations. I'm not able to edit anything now.
What can I do?

Geektool has it's own "uninstaller" on the install .dmg
Is that what you used? That would be the preferred method

If not, you need to run that uninstaller
If you did use it, you might want to try AppCleaner (free) or AppZapper (not free)

Or, you can use Spotlight to do a search on Geektool files and delete

Thanks, I used the Geektool uninstaller. Will now try out AppCleaner

AppCleaner worked. The problem was a plist that the geektool uninstaller did not remove.
