Hey people.
So I’ve been playing with the proraw and trying to understand best way to use it.

I can edit RAW images in native Photos app, but that’s just that. After edit they are still staying as RAW format, right?
The only way now to edit them (RAW images) and export to JPEG would be in lightroom, correct?
Thank you.

"You can share the original unedited ProRAW photo, which has the .dng file extension. And if you edit the photo in the Photos app, you can also share the edited version, which has the .jpg file extension when shared."
Thank you for sharing.
So, as soon as I edit the pic (RAW) in photos (change exposure, adjust highlights etc.) its then converted to jpeg?
When I edited RAW pic in photos, it still showed that small RAW icon in the left top corner. There also isn’t any way to tell if it’s now JPEG version or what’s the final size of the picture.
To be honest it’s very poor execution and leaves a lot of informations out and unclear.

No, it remains DNG in Photos and it is when it is shared it will be shared as a converted JPEG. The DNG in Photos will retain the edits. It is weird, though - I share the unedited RAW image to my iPad Pro and it transfers as DNG; if I edit the DNG in Photos on the iPhone and then share to the iPad, a converted JPEG with the edits applied is shared. If I revert the edited DNG on the iPhone to its original state, then when shared to the iPad the DNG is sent.
