Apple should have put USB C on these pro phones. That’s going to be the biggest hurdle for anyone that wants to use ProRes, getting those huge files off the phone.

That footage is very impressive.
I completely agree. That is going to limit its usefulness massively. This is one reason why I don’t think iPhone should go portless any time soon. We are still quite a way from reliable wireless data transfer for large files.

This update is going to take video on iPhone way ahead of the competition and in some ways will compare with some pro mirrorless cameras out there. The improvement is shocking.

Some very useful comments in the video with regard to transfer speed, lowlight, secondary sensors, situational use, etc. This is exciting to be able to this capability in device that you carry all the time. I'm kinda hoping that ProRes LT will be a little bit of a sweet spot. I've shot a lot of ProRes LT for weddings and things like that and it holds up pretty well if you're not doing a bunch of manipulation.

And probably worth noting, this isn't actually ProRes RAW, that is a different thing. But 10-bit ProRes on a phone is pretty cool.
