Pros and cons for using the new encrypted backup option with Time Machine?

I was wondering if you guys could give me some pros and cons for using Mountain Lion's new setting for encrypting backups done with Time Machine.

Well actually, I just need the cons since the pros are obvious. Anyone? When is encrypting backups a bad idea?
