I want to set-up one hard drive via USB to Airport Extreme in AirDisk to use as Time Machine for two Macs. Are there things that I should be aware of before doing this? For those who are using this method, what do you like and don't like?

Also, can I hard wire TM drive to both Macs via USB for the intial back-up (I know that I would have to do one Mac at time) then mount the HD to Airport Extreme for future back-ups?

I don't even have an AirPort Extreme, but I'd suggest you partition the hard drive and have each computer back up to one partition. Keep things nice and organized.

I doubt it. Is there a reason you would want to?
