I'm curious how the creative types who have lots of large files are backing up their Mac Studio and backing up files on external storage. I bought the base model M2 Max Studio which only has 512GB. For $300 I purchased a fast 4TB 40Gps SSD and enclosure. To add 4TB to Mac Studio when ordering is like $1200! So I saved a lot. I was glad to realize Time Machine will back up both my 512GB internal drive and my 4TB external as one backup. So, I used an old RAID 6TB I have that connects using the 1st generation Thunderbolt as a backup device. I bought an adapter for it to connect to the Mac Studio. The first backup was not impressively fast but daily backups are quick.

How much GB storage do you have internally and externally and how are you backing everything up?

Synology NAS is what I use. 2 of them, one 12TB, the other 20TB. But for more than one PC, they work quite well and reliably for backup.

These are connected to your router as network devices?
