So somehow, somewhere all a sudden all my personnely encoded movies are showing up as protected files.

A month ago it wasn't like this. I have been encoding movies for last 3 months, and all was fine, now every single one is protected state. What I do know:

1. OS X 10.6.7(the newest one)
2. Mac Mini 2010
3. Movies are stored on a Segate External 3 TB drive(some on the Main drive as well)
4. Logged in as Admin
5. Can't right click and change permissions to said files.
Attempted to click little lock icon in get info, ask for user to do this, use admin account.
Tried to change permission on the file as well.
6. Have run fix disk permission out of utilities.

Anyone have some suggestions? I am new to the Mac World.
