I would like to protect my computer and all the power surges lately has me worried. Almost every storm it seems like we have been having electricity surges, flickering lights ect.

I just have 2 questions. The first is would a surge / backup protector of 1500 jewels be enough

the second is can i get decent protection for around 100 usd max.

Unless you're going for bling look for joules instead of jewels.
