Hi Guys, I know that there is already a thread here called 'MacBook Pro Bags, Sleeves, and Cases Thread' but due to the lack of products available specifically for the 16 inch model I thought it may be usefull to start a separate thread.

I've been on the search for a protective sleeve for a 16 and was surprised to see the lack of products on the market for the model. It seems that most online supplies like TOMTOC, MOSISO, etc. are simplying selling thier smaller 15 cases expecting customers to force thier MBP's into a 15 inch case!! It's surprising that there are only a few companies who are producing an exact fit. Maybe something to do with Covid and factory production issues? The only products I could find online who appear to be making specific sleeves for the 16 model are:-

CushCase - Here

InCase - Here

This new Chinese company I found called
Cozistyle look to be making a really nice sleeve for all MBP's including one for the 16 but it appears to be no way to order them here in Europe Here.

Can anyone recommend a good quality padded sleeve currently available in the EU?
:)

I've had a woolnut case in the past and I like https://missionleatherco.com better. Feels more authentic for some reason. Better prices too and made in the states.

For some reason woolnut feels more plastic/synthetic to me. Just my optinion.

My 2019 16" MBP is actually slightly SMALLER in footprint than my 2012 MBP. I have a HEX sleeve from the 2012 (that was a squeeze to fit) that the 2019 fits in with room to spare!

I can't compare it to a 2016-early 2019 MBP but I would imagine the footprint is similar.

The 2012-2015 15” model is basically the exact same size and the bags/sleeves for that model fit the 16”

Are you sure that they are exactly the same size? I'm reading lots of reviews on Amazon saying 15 MBP cases are a super tight fit on the new MBP 16... See attached review of a tomtoc Case 🤨

I have both and a couple sleevs/cases for each. Booq and Thule. A plastic snap-on case will not fit both, however

He wrote 2012-2015 15", not the 2016-2019 15" that you read on Amazon reviews.
And I'm currently using a 2012 Incase sleeve for my MacBook Pro 16" that was originally used for my MacBook Pro 15".

From ZoneOfTech, hope it helps:

Hi Guys, so I pulled the trigger on a Tomtoc 360 Protective Sleeve sold specifically for the MBL 16 inch.

It was good value (UK £21.99) and arrived next day via Amazon Prime. The quality seems OK but I honestly expected better protection on the corners after reading about their Trademarked 'CornerArmor', which strangly is only on two of the four corners. Very strange....

As a result, I'm not sure how protective the case will be in any sort of significant drop.... 😬

Most of the $20 cases you get on Amazon aren't going to be very good. You will probably have to spend more like $40-60. But if you can find a closeout one, jump on it.

Over the last 10 years I have probably bought 20 different cases for my MacBooks!

There are a lot of bags out there. Some were really bad, some very good, most are in-between. Depends on what you are looking for. Do you want something protective? Get a Thule Gauntlet.

The only ones I haven't bought are the fancy leather and suede ones because they are often $100-$200!

Do you want something with a pocket? A carry strap? Look at STM Goods. Do you want to hold additional things in your case? Get a backpack with a laptop compartment.
