Sorry if this is not the right forum, but I just don't know where to post this question.

Been seeing some members here mentioning Proton Mail. Looking at their site, apparently they have a free tier. Doing some basic reading, basically it's encrypted email, and both me and the other party have to have the key to decrypt the email. Correct me if I'm wrong, but basically if I emailed an individual, I'll be emailing him/her my public key so he/she chan decrypt the email.

My questions are:
1. What happen when the other party replied? Does it come in as unencrypted email? Since most email quoted the original email when replying, this can defeat the purpose, no? (unless I can convince the other party to also use Proton mail..)
2. how would this work with emails from companies (eg. bank statements, credit card statements, mailing list, etc etc)?

Any shared experiences would be great. :)
