I took the plunge today, what a great Father's day present.

My wife must really love me :)

Anyway, just wanted to brag a little bit :)

Felt the same way when I got mine!

Except for the wife part. And the Father's Day part. But I know how you feel!

What configuration did you get?

Went almost all out with the 15"

2.16Ghz
1GB
7200RPM Drive
100GB
256MB Video

I'm liking it...but still doing "updates" right now :( Had over 300MB of updates to download

Harddrive is getting quite hot right now...kind of annoying, but I'll get used to it.

nice. Is the 1gb a single chip or 2x512?

Also, you need t update your sig! ;)

Good question...not sure how to check without taking it apart. I'm assuming it is 2, since I didn't request 1.

I just saw that on my sig :) Should be good now!

If it only has "DIMM1/Bank 1" showing then its a single chip, if it has "DIMM1/Bank 1" and "DIMM2/Bank 2" then its 2 chips...

Sweet! One DIMM :)

Thanks for the tip

Congrats.

Had been the Apple Store over the past few days (sick iMac G5 - constant rebooting - all is fine now after a power supply replacement). And got to drool over the new MB and MPB systems.

So want one of the new Intel based Mac systems. But will want to wait till OSX 10.5 comes out and Adobe has PSCS for the Intel Mac platform.

If I had patience, I probably would have done the same ;)
