PS/2 Keyboard

Hi
I have an old PS/2 keyboard. So i bought an adapter (PS/2 to USB)
but it doesn't recognize the keyboard. The keyboard flashes (caps lock,num lock,scroll lock) but when i type nothing happens.
Any help?

a. try to connect the keyboard before turning the computer on, ps/2 isn't plug-and-play.
b. if still not working, 10.5+ might not have ps/2 kext (driver) - contact the adapter manufacture or try to google it (but i cant advise you to install unreliable system files, you dont want to break your system).
