PS3 for XMas Present

I'm looking to get a PS3 for my daughter for Xmas. When would the best time to buy be? I know they just dropped the price and I can see them on sale locally for $220 (reg $250). Will there be any special bundles around Xmas worth waiting for? I would like a BD remote bundle.

Historically, on Sonys end, isn't it usually just a game or two?

Best Buy and Wal-Mart usually do a 'Getting Started' pack with an extra controller, HDMI cable(s), a game or two, etc... but those can get pretty pricy.

Sony usually has 3-4 holiday bundles. They announce them usually in november, and there are about 3 or 4 retailer specific variations that will include different things like games and extra controllers and whatnot. So waiting until then might give you more options.

Local Costco now has the plain 160GB model for $199 (regular price). Looking good for sales in the near future!
