PS3 freezing after every Modern Warfare 2 match.

Since updating to 1.09, my PS3 freezes after every online match in MW2.

I've been reading other forums, and it seems to be a quite common occurrence. What concerns me, is that many say it is also an indication of a faulty unit.

Everything else is working OK. I can watch Blu-Ray movies, and play other games.


Anyone else having this issues?

I would suggest you confirm the problem isn't a matter of merely your disc (your MW2). If you know someone else that possesses this, you may want to borrow it and try theirs on your PS3, and your disc on their PS3 (if they feel is safe).

While some situations are beyond coincidental, many have been met with failing discs, while many actually have failing PS3s.

So I finally tried with another copy from the game... and it worked perfectly.

I guess this is good news, since it means the PS3 is fine. But it feels terrible when I searched for scratches and the only one I found was less than a centimeter and barely visible.

I guess I'll just leave the game and start playing Battlefield 2.
