PS3 game backup software

Has anyone had any luck backing up PS3 games? I am looking to make copies but don't know if it works. I saw this but don't want to spend $30 if it doesn't work. http://www.easybackupwizard.com/other/order_now.html

In PS3 menu: Preferences/Settings -> System Preferences -> Backup utility -> Backup

I wouldn't think Sony would put that right into their system. What stops people from renting games and copying them?

You can only use some of the backup for certain PS3, so that you can't share bought material. ANd you can't copy rented or bought either

It's not very ethical to do so. If you like the game buy it.

My PS3 disc drive died, is there any way to get the ones I own onto the hd?
I think it might work well enough for copying files, it usually dies about 15 minutes in.

As far as I know the PS3 simply won't run any copied discs of games (and that's why there are no pirated games on PS3). Not to mention PS3 games are on BluRays usually so unless you have a BluRay burner it won't work.

jimtuck0 is probably working for the company that makes the software OP mentioned, hence his only post being about it...
