PS3 set up problems - no audio?

I decided to set up my PS3 to my Dell 2408WFP monitor, which I use as an external monitor to my Macbook.
I am having problems with no audio when trying to connect using Bose Companion 5 audio system.

Basically, my Macbook and Dell monitor connected via VGA.
The PS3 and Dell monitor connected via HDMI.

Can this set up work using the Bose system?
Any suggestion?
