PS3 Video Converter Software

What is the best software to use on a mac for converting movies I have on my computer already for use on the PS3?

I have some xVid files that won't play and need to be converted

From what I understand, the PS3 plays normal mpeg4 video files. An easy and free way to convert formats is to download QTAmateur. It lets you use the standard QuickTime export function, and also lets you re-encode files in batches. Just dial-in the right export settings and you're good to go.

iSquint / VisualHub should do the trick. Anything that will play on an iPod should play on the PS3.
