ps4 new hdd + cables required

purchased a ps4 from ebay-hdd has been removed
Here we have for sale a PS4 console, The unit is sold as faulty. The console powers on with the blue LED and then powers back off. Its out of warranty now with Sony so not been able to send back. Cosmetically the console is OK, I have removed my HDD and used it in my new console.


I have hdmi cable at home

what other cables does a ps4 come with

I think hdmi+new hdd+joypad

is a usb flash drive a necessity -for transferring sys software from sony site to new hdd-can it be formatted 1st via macbook/disk utility

You need to Format your new HDD to Fat 32 first.

Download system firmware from Sony, you will need a memory stick.

Follow the main guide on Sony's own site for changing your HDD as you must do things in set order.



So you will need an external drive dock or case

PS4 comes with USB & power & HDMI cables only.
