That is the 32 GB model, so only $10 off. There will be much better sales around Black Friday/Monday. Almost all the big retail companies have free shipping these days, especially on items that cost over $100. Just make sure you are buying the 2021 model. A lot of dodgy advertising goes on. Sometimes it is difficult to tell which model and/or year a company is advertising.
I almost had this problem at another retailer. Honestly don’t think the sales person knew the difference, but coworker verified older version and went and got newer version from stock room. I have both and would argue gen 1 remote is thinner so one might prefer it. I don’t really care, but gen 2 has ability to be a thread router, which for future of IoT is a big deal for me.
