Apparently Apple checks you wireless account (in my case VZW) after you've ordered your phone but before shipping it to you.

And any pending changes to your wireless plan will prevent Apple from shipping phone. No matter how small those changes are (in my case - adding Travel Pass option to an international plan).

You'll be given up to four days to "resolve" those or your order will be cancelled.

VZW did agree to cancel this change, but I'm not sure how it will affect my order or shipping times.

It's not a big deal, but it was an unpleasant surprise.

It's post pay account. Not prepaid.

You don't pay until AFTER service is delivered.

No matter what you change, you will not pay until your next bill. So, no pending charges with changes you make to your account a few days early.

Also, pending charges will not inhibit an order. OVERDUE charges and late payments will.

It's an add-on that you only pay for when you use it.

Important part is the second check that Apple does and the pending status for this account change.

Yeah, I saw a notice about that on Apple's page during the order process. So I made some changes to my plan first, waited a bit to make sure they were reflected at AT&T, then submitted the iPhone order.

Ah, maybe that's why it hasn't been a big deal. There was a notice put up.

Well, I've managed to miss this notice. Not sure App Store App had it at the time.

Apple Support doesn't see anything wrong with the order, so hopefully it will come through and on time.

I've had to correct orders in the past and it didn't hold things up as long as you didn't sit on it for the full 4 days, that might cause a slight delay.

This happened to me too. I changed my Verizon plan and it stopped my phone from shipping. I went in and canceled it ASAP and called Apple and they said it all looks okay on their end. I still apparently have a 9/16 deliver date and my card has been charged.

****, I ordered my phone on the plane while traveling overseas via on-board wifi, so I definitely changed my plan by adding TravelPass. How do I fix this?

If you go into your VZW account and try to change your plan it should pop up with a warning about a pending change on your account, and it'll give you the option to either cancel it or continue with it.

Thanks, just canceled it. Will call Apple now to see if my order was affected.
[doublepost=1473892165][/doublepost]Apple says there's no issue on their end and they've already authorized my AMEX to ship the phone overnight tomorrow. I assume they did this even before me canceling my account change. I also checked UPS and tracked my phone via my reference number and it is currently in Louisville, KY.
