Public service announcement!

I had my Airpods Pro 2 buds by themselves in a jacket and it went into a 30 minute wash cycle and then drying cycle for about 40 minutes.
Amazingly they are warped but they still work! The sound seems a bit more muffled but barely noticeable... 😜

Awesome hahaha

Can't remember which ones I did that to. Maybe original AirPods. Think I had Apple replace them under AppleCare. It was so long ago that I don't remember.

A long time ago my original AirPods nearly got soaked in the wash. Fortunately I was able to rescue them. Since then I made a hard rule: Before starting any laundry, AirPods go on the charger. It's worked well.

update... the left AirPods doesn't sound good anymore and the charging light flickers when the left one goes in...
The Dryer literally melted the plastic...
Glad I received Air Pods Pro 3 today in the mail. I had ordered them before this happened... I was going to sell my 2's. Now I can't...

Sell them as abstract art :)

The same could be said of not letting your pets eat the AirPods. I heard some horror story on Reddit or some social media site where someone was able to 'hear' the internals of their dog after the dog had swallowed an AirPod (not sure how you can do that seeing as the mic is in the Pod and so is the speaker?) but man, creepypasta material.
