Long story short, after one delay, Best Buy received my 2nd Gen iPad Pro 12.9 Verizon LTE model for in store pickup. The only reason I did in store pickup was because it was unavailable to ship and I wanted to get in on the $250 off deal for LTE activiation with Verizon.

Anyway, it had the SIM card taped to the box, like a few others have stated on the forums. I popped it in and it wouldn't activate, even in the Verizon app to add a new device. I called Verizon and they said the LTE won't be able to be activated until a week later. Kind of a bummer, but I can live with it. I think it's because Best Buy gives folks a week to pick up their order before it cancels, so they set the activation date for the last possible pickup date, and Verizon can't do anything about it. So, if you sign up with Best Buy for the $250 off deal, and do in store pickup, you may not be able to activate it LTE for a week or so.
