John Lewis is selling 2 metre USB-C to Lightning cables for £17.50. The normal price is £35, or £29 with Apple's temporary discount.
It is clear the future is USB-C, and Lightning will probably be sticking around for a while. So personally I will be stocking up on these, since there are no certified third party alternatives!
