As an enthusiast, I use infuse with the understanding I am still hearing my DTS-HD MA files, it’s just being sent as PCM to my amp. However it always sort of nags at me that it’s not the actual container showing up.

And so the other day I discovered that the plex app on Xbox supports true direct play. No transcoding, just direct from source to receiver. DTS, Dolby etc it all shows up. It’s amazing. Only downside being plex does not support iso in any shape or form and has no plans to. But it’s so cool to finally throw something on and see “DTS-HD MA” light up. Usually relegated to watching on a disc.

Infuse is still awesome and I am keeping my pro subscription, but just a PSA for any other pain in the ace home media types like me that you can see it if you go via Xbox!

I see the DTS-HD MA, TrueHD, etc. show up on my Zidoo z9x as well.

I still use Infuse Pro for movies that are HD, have 5.1 or 7.1 audio, and SDR or HDR. For DV files, I use my Zidoo so I can see the DV logo appear in the corner of my TV.

Interesting had to look that unit up. What is it, like a “brain” for incoming signals?
