Just a quick datapoint, for those who may have been in my position vis-a-vis the Massimo patent dispute/ban. Back in late December I tried to take my Series 6 in for an out-of-warranty battery replacement, and was turned away due to the ban. The ban was lifted shortly after, so I tried again this week and while I was unable to make a genius appointment through the website for the S6 battery issue, support Chat was able to make me an appointment (after a very frustrating tier 1 support script). Dropped the watch off Tuesday night, and got it back via FedEx this morning (Friday). So if you need out-of-warranty service, better do it before if/when the ban gets reinstated!
Bonus datapoint: my old watch's battery health was at 78%. Had a couple of crashes, and definitely noticed needing to charge more often. The new one is a major quality of life improvement. Whereas before, a 1 hour workout, with bluetooth connected and podcasts streaming over cellular (without phone) I could expect to lose 45% charge. Today, I only lost 20% while running the same route and same everything. Absolutely worth $99, since I find the 6 to be perfectly fine for what I need. If it weren't for the whole ban thing, I probably would have never gotten around to doing it, so... uh, thanks Massimo, I guess?
