Just thought I'd boot up GTA Online after working tonight, only to find I couldn't sign in. Apparently people across the globe are experiencing the same issues, on PS3 and PS4.

It's becoming a running gag at this point. Sony barely has any online reputation remaining. I don't know anybody who could take them seriously at this point. We don't know yet if this is another DDOS attack, but seeing as it is an unintentional and unscheduled disruption, it's likely to be the case.

What are your thought's on the future of PSN's reliability and security?

I certainly won't be signing up for SonyPay any time soon...

Depends what the problem is. If it's another hack I'll be worried, if it's something more innocent I'll just point and laugh a little bit. I play GTA Online for a few hours a week so I hope it's back up soon!
Funny isn't it. You pay for Microsoft and Sony's online services and they go down. I don't think I've ever seen Nintendo's online service down!

Over Christmas, it was very annoying for everyone who got a new console (like my 12 year old nephew). But that affected both services.

Other than that, I have never been bothered by a PSN outage. I guess I just never "absolutely must play online right now" like some kids apparently do.
